Alas, my time in Vancouver has come to an end. Tonight is my last official night in Vancouver (which I am consequently spending at my favourite coffee shop, the beloved “Wired Monk”, home of the world’s most fantastic Chocolate Raspberry Frappe; no seriously, it’s that amazing.) Anyway, my family has been here for a week tonight. We stayed in Vancouver for a few nights, then headed to Whistler.
Whistler was pretty much amazing (not to mention, amazingly cold)! Everything was covered in snow, and our condo had a fantastic view of the mountain/slopes. We all skied for a day (dad and Caleb two – sort of.) I think I concluded that either my ski-skill-level has decreased (eh, not hard to believe), or slopes at Whistler are harder. Either way, it was fun no less! Caleb had a somewhat ill-fated run on the first day (as in, he likely went too fast, fell, and was therefore sore), so I even attempted snowboarding the second day using his board/pass (which was also, largely unsuccessful).

Oh, and for those of you who keep up with the Body Family vacation catastrophes (I swear, every vacation…), this one was not lacking! Digby’s (my car) windshield wipers died on the way to Whistler. In the snow/rain/sleet/stuff. After attempting to quickly fix them/McGuyver some sort of concoction to make them clear the windshield, my dad managed to get us to the resort (which involved sticking his head out the window/frequent jumping out and manually wiping the windshield). He picked up some Rain-ex after we got there, so as long as we go over like 60km/hour, the rain slides right off, so all’s well.

So yeah, that’s all I really have to say. My dad and I head off tomorrow, as do my mom and Caleb (who will have a short bus-voyage to Seattle, then a flight from there home). I think the plan for us is to go through Idaho, but it’ll probably end up more like wherever has the least rain; you know, just to be on the safe side…
Farewell! If I’m lazy and don’t write again, have a fabulous Christmas!
