Back at home, alas.

First, happy late Christmas!

It’s been about two weeks now that I’ve been home from Vancouver. Although there are definitely certain aspects of being there that I miss, I am definitely glad to be back home! I seem to be fond of lists recently, so here are a few reasons why:

- I haven’t had to wear a coat in 4 days! Amazing!
- Things are excessively cheaper.
- I can drive 5 miles in under 5 minutes! (in contrast to 5 miles in, oh, 20 minutes?)
- Family. And pets.
- Daily proof that the sun exists.
- Not having the same exact food every day is a very liberating thing!

…And the list goes on. But I’ll spare you!

In other news – actually, there’s not much else going on… I inadvertently left my cell phone in my jeans, which went through the washer, thus ending my dear phone’s life. That was pretty tragic; it’s coming back a bit, but the battery is completely dead, and the screen only works for fleeting seconds at a time. Ah well.

College classes start on the 14th, which leaves me another entire week of boredom! With the exception of the digital photography class I’ll be teaching at the high school again, but that’s only like an hour twice a week.

Other than that, it’s pretty much just been a weird week. Actually, it’s been kind of a weird year. I guess maybe you grow from the things you go through, and I s’pose that’s the only thing I can do at this point – hope that somehow something positive will come from it all. (That’s not vague at all, is it? Haha)

Oh, and happy 2008.
