Oh, hello.

I kind of have a mini-mountain of work to do, but I had this sudden urge to just write/post something, so that’s what I’m doing.  (Even though it appears to have turned into more of a picture-fest.)

Let’s see, stuff.

Angel still hasn’t returned, which is super sad!  I s’pose it’s only fair, I left on my share of adventures without her, it’s only fair she gets to go on her own!  Hopefully one day she’ll return and tell me about them?  Perhaps.

Strangely, things are still covered in her abundant fluff.  She’ll probably live on forever in our family in that respect as well, ha.
A few photo adventures have taken place.  La Barge Canyon with ASU-photo-buddy-Eric.

And an engagement shoot I had a couple weeks ago.  They were lovely people, and we found this super cool building.  I’m quite excited with how they turned out!

Photographed the Rock and Worship Road Show, with lots of swell bands.  Also, had an interview with David Crowder (in which I ask him about fonts and coffee), which I shall hopefully soon post!  A few from the night:

Oh, and I had some cross-continent baking time with the lovely Sarah from Belfast!  We made apply/raisin/swirl things, they were delicious.

Okay, I s’pose that’s it.  Next time, more words, less pictures – promise!

Ahoy!

Belfast pretty much gets a handful of awesome points for the weather this past week – beautifulll!  It’s starting to look a bit dreary outside though, so perhaps I speak a bit too soon….

Anywho, this past weekend, I went to a Christian music festival up in Ballymena, called FUEL, which I quite thoroughly enjoyed! Matt & Sarah, from the church I’ve been going to here in Belfast, live in Ballymena, and Sarah was lovely enough to allow me to stay with here for the weekend. I’d say the highlights were Starfield, DC*B, and of course, Jeremy Camp.  Though, all of the bands were fantastic, and I may be a bit biased… :)   Anyway, it was a swell weekend of music and cool people and worship – here are a few photos:

Starfield & Jeremy Camp followed by DC*B!

Between bands, we made awesome paper-plate-people. Brilliant, I know.

We also played a giant game of Snakes & Ladders.  When I get married, this is what I want as a wedding gift; I’m not even joking, make note of it!

I was strangely fascinated by the big-blue-reminiscent-of-Narnia-tents. Also: epic clouds!

In other news, I was part of a design/advertising workshop/competition here.  It was co-sponsored by the University of Ulster and PANI (Publicity Association of Northern Ireland).  Basically, groups were assigned to various advertising and design agencies within Belfast, and we had to come up with a marketing campaign and associated visuals for the brief they set.  We were placed with Fire, IMC, and actually ended up winning, hurrah!  Even though I missed a bit of the experience being home last month, it was still good fun and I feel like I learned a lot!  Also, we got iPhones for winning, which was a nice bonus. :)

In other news, the family will be here in 10 days, hurrah! Still no news re: plans for the rest of summer.  Hmmmmmm.

Pretty much nothing.

I got a new lens earlier this week, so I’ve been having a bit of fun playing around with it.  It’s a 10-20mm, which is super wide angle.  It came with some extra close-up filters and such, which do crazy distortion-like things to pictures, kind of like above.  Pretty amusing, to say the least!

I went to a concert earlier this week, mainly to see Switchfoot (Jars of Clay, Third Day, & Robert Randolph something were also there).  They used to be my favourite band, but they seem to have gotten lost in my iTunes shuffle.  I forgot how much I like their music, so that was pretty exciting.
